Nataline E. Centofonti 1913-2002 Obituary

Nataline E. Centofonti, 88, a resident of Heartland of Keyser Nursing Home, formerly of 12 N. Main St., Keyser, departed this life Wednesday, March 27, 2002, at the nursing home.

She was born Sept. 4, 1913, at Bayard, a daughter of the late Giovanni DelSignore and Marianne DelSignore.

She was married to Vincent James Centofonti, who preceded her in death on Dec. 7, 1944.

Surviving are one son, Peter J. Centofonti Sr. and wife, Barbara, Keyser; three brothers, Frank T. DelSignore, Cresaptown, Md., Eugene DelSignore, Alexandria, Va., and Robert P. DelSignore, New Creek; four sisters, Pauline Carderella, Woburn, Mass., Lucy Varchetto, Elkins, Yolanda Taccino, Cumberland, Md., and Rosalie Hauser, Des Moines, Iowa; four grandchildren, Peter J. Centofonti Jr. and wife, Bonnie, Romney, Marianne Bamburg and husband, Charles, Keyser, Barbara Tang and husband, Peter, Alexandria, Va., and James Matthew Centofonti, Keyser; two great-grandchildren, Ashley Renee Centofonti and Dana Marie Bamburg; 36 nieces and nephews and several grandnieces and grandnephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Renald and Ernest DelSignore; and two sisters, Mary Solina Marsella and Margaret Smith.

Mrs. Centofonti was a graduate of Bayard High School at Bayard with the class of 1931. She was a retired nurse’s aide at Potomac Valley Hospital in Keyser with more than 18 years of service and was an active and dedicated member of the Church of Assumption at Keyser.

Friends were received at Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel. The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at the Church of the Assumption with the Rev. Father Ivan M. Lebar, TOR, as celebrant. Interment followed at the SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery at Cumberland, Md. This announcement is a courtesy of Lohr-barb-vance Funeral Home.
