Neil S. Louk, 49, of Route 1, Belington, died Monday, Nov. 16, in Davis Memorial Hospital. He had been disabled for several years, due to partial paralysis, but his recent illness and his death were unexpected. Mr. Louk was born Feb. 11, 1960, at Elkins, a son of Garnetta (Rutherford) Louk, with whom he had made his home and the late Daniel Louk. In addition to his mother, he is survived by four daughters, Dee Dee, Danielle, Amy and Vickie; by two sons, Tony and Joseph; by several stepchildren; by four brothers, Jerry Louk of the Carrollton community, Carlton “Mike” Louk and wife, Michelle, Michael Louk and Jay Louk and,wife, Tami, all of Belington; three sisters, Laverne Miles of Junior, Eleanor Swick and husband, Ronald, of Belington and Lois Summers, address unknown; and several grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Charles Louk. Prior to his disability, Mr. Louk had been employed as a materials handler for Dingess Lumber Co. in Belington. He was an avid Citizen’s Band Radio operator and enjoyed tinkering with electronics. Mr. Louk had willed his remains to medical science. Memorial services will be conducted at 7 p.m.. on Friday, Nov. 20, from the Schoonover-stemple Funeral Chapel, 609 Crim Ave. in Belington. The family will receive friends, at the funeral home, beginning at 5 p.m. Friday. Mr. Louk had requested that memorials be made in the form of contributions to his mother towards his final expenses or to a charity of choice. Schoonover-stemple Funeral Chapel is entrusted with the arrangements.
