Noah W. Carr, age 80, of Newark, DE, formerly of Thomas WV, passed away at home surrounded by his family on June 22, 2014.

After graduating from Thomas High School, Noah joined the United States Marine Corp from 1952 until 1955, and proudly served his country in the Korean War.

He then began his career with Pennsylvania Railroad, which later became known as Conrail when he retired after 43 years in 1998.

He was a valued member of the United Transportation Union, which he served as a Local Chairman for 23 years.

Noah was a member of Moose Lodge 1578, a lifetime member of VFW Post 475, American Legion and a 42 year member of Newark Masonic Temple, Hiram Lodge No.25 in Newark DE.

He enjoyed family gatherings, hunting, fishing, watching sports and NASCAR races.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife Nina L. Carr, companion Eileen Berseski, and sister Ruth Mercante. Noah will be very sadly missed by his 5 children Diana Mosley (Melvin), Bobby Carr (Anne), Sharon McGinnis (Kevin Culver), Tammy Campbell, Roger Carr (Jennifer): 11 grandchildren Melody, Jenna, Alisha, Samantha, Steven, Christopher, Joshua, Nicolette, Rebecca, David and Norman: 6 great grandchildren: Angelina, William, Kiera, Arianna, Xavier, and Madalyn: 5 siblings Rose Ford, Anna Sutton, Robert Carr, Charles Carr, and Glen Clark, and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at Beeson Funeral Home of Newark, 2053 Pulaski Highway, Newark, DE 19702, from 10:00am Until 12:00 Noon, where the funeral service will begin at 12:00Noon.

Burial will be in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road Bear, DE.
