NOLA MAE TETER WHITE, age 86 years, a resident of Elkins, WV departed this life early Thursday morning, January 27, 2011 at Talbott’s Personal Care Home in Belington, WV.

She was born Saturday, September 6, 1924 at Red Creek, WV a daughter of the late William Olie Teter and Martha Ellen Wimer Teter. On February 24, 1946 at Elkins, WV she was married to Edward L. White, who preceded her in death June 4, 1986. Surviving are one daughter, Priscilla Ellen Stover, New Orleans, LA; six nieces and three nephews, including nephew, Terry Teter and wife Kathy, Circleville; two great nieces; Emilee and Kaylee Teter, Circleville; one brother, Jack L. Teter, Franklin; five grandchildren, Angela, William C., Paul B. and James L. Acord and Kimberly Stover; three great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are two sons, Keith Edward White and infant Kevin Lee White; three brothers; and four sisters.

She attended the schools of Tucker County, and had worked for the Elkins Inter-mountain Newspaper for fifteen years. She was a member of the Degree of Honor Lodge # 21, the Delphia Rebekah Lodge # 62, the H. W. Daniel’s Unit # 29, American Legion Auxiliary, the 8 @ 40 of the Legion, the Elkins Randolph County Senior Center, the Randolph County Blood Bank, the Tygart’s Valley Gasco Club and the First United Methodist Church where she was active in the N. I. Hall Sunday School Class and United Methodist Women Circle # 3.

The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 5 to 7 PM, Monday. Final Rites will be conducted at the funeral home chapel, Tuesday, February 1, 2011, at 1:30 PM. The Rev. Dr. Basil A. Hensley will officiate and interment will follow at the Maplewood Cemetery at Elkins, WV.
