Norma Lou Law, 73 of Straight Fork Road, Crawford, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, in United Hospital Center in Bridgeport.

She was born Jan. 27, 1939, at Straight Fork, Lewis County.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Parley Fray and Ruby Marie Mick Wimer; and her sister, Betty Jean Wimer.

Norma is survived by her husband, F. Dixon Law, whom she married on Aug. 5, 1961; three children, Marcus Law and wife, Theresa, of Chapel Hill, N.C., Debra McCabe and husband, Matthew, of Morgantown and Kevin Law of Huntington; and two grandchildren, Eric Joseph Law and Emily Lou McCabe.

She was a lifelong member of Straight Fork United Methodist Church, where she had been the pianist for many years, a member of Straight Fork Community Educational Outreach Society was an assistant leader with the 4-h Club and donated her time for community and church activities. Norma graduated with the class of 1957 from Buckhannon High School and with the class of 1961 from Glenville State College and was a homemaker.

The family will receive friends from 2 pm to 4:00 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at Tomblyn Whitescarver Funeral Chapel in Buckhannon. She will be moved to Straight Fork United Methodist Church Sunday to lie in state from 1 to 2 p.m., the funeral hour. The Rev. Kara Philippi and the Rev. Kevin Bender will officiate at the funeral services, with burial following in Wimer Cemetery.
