Mrs. Olive Mavadell Summerfield, age 76 years, a resident of Mill Creek, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2009 at her home.

She was born November 17, 1932 at Hemlock, a daughter of the late Lonnie A. Daniels, Sr. and Lena Orpha Scott Daniels.

On November 10, 1951, she married Ralph Summerfield who survives.

Also surviving are four sons, Gary, Randal, Michael and Roger Summerfield, all of Mill Creek. One daughter, Brenda Koerner, of Helvetia. Three brothers, Archie and Richard Daniels, both of Mill Creek and Lonnie Daniels, Jr. of Huttonsville. Three sisters, Mae Daniels, of Mill Creek, Phyllis Golden of Kingwood and Jean Seymour, of Mansfield, OH and twelve grandchildren also survive.

Also preceding her in death were two sisters, Madge and Margaret Daniels; one brother, Robert Daniels and two twin grandsons, Joshua and Jason Summerfield.

Mrs. Summerfield was a homemaker and attended the Blue Rock Union Mission Church.
Friends may call from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday, November 2, 2009 at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 Tuesday, Nov. 3rd from the funeral home chapel.

Rev. Junior Harris will officiate and interment will follow in the Blue Rock Cemetery at Blue Rock.

The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care Corporation, P.O. Box 760, Arthurdale, WV 26520.

The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in the charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Olive Mavadell Summerfield.
