Oran Mansfield Bolner 1924-2002 Obituary

Oran Mansfield Bolner, 78, a resident of Timberville, Va., and a former resident of 212 Chestnut St., Philippi, passed away Friday, Dec. 5, 2002, in Rockingham Memorial Hospital, Harrisonburg, Va.

He was born May 5, 1924, at Moatsville, a son of the late Floyd Henry and Hallie (Newman) Bolner.

He was thrice married, first to the former Argel R. Morris, second to Helen Summers and third to Louise A. Elliott, who survives.

Also surviving are five brothers, Patricia “Patty” Casto, Philippi, Pamela Poling, Grafton, Robin Snider and Sandra Mauro, both of Clarksburg, and Nicole Walker, Timberville, Va.; three stepdaughters, Mary Louise Moore, Clarksburg, Sandra Gue, Barboursville, and Kathy Petty, Hopewell, Va.; two sons, Carl Bolner, Greenville, S.C., and Wendell Bolner, Huttonsville; two stepsons, Billy Westfall, Salem, and Edward Elliott, Timberville, Va.; three sisters, Louvenda Edmond, Liverpool, Ohio, Maxine Jackson, Webster, and Opal Robinson, Moatsville; 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Forest Carl Bolner; one son, Oran Rex Bolner; one stepson, Bobby Watson; and one grandson, Greg Bolner.

Mr. Bolner was a retired truck driver. He was a Protestant by faith.

In honor of Mr. Bolners request he was cremated. Cremains will be interned at the Pleasant Creek Cemetery. Wright Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
