Pamela L. (Goode) Morgan, aged 66 years, a resident of Stalnaker Run Road passed away Sunday afternoon, January 30th, 2022 in J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital at Morgantown. She was born April 30th, 1955 in Elkins, WV, a daughter of the late Robert Hall and Mary (Coberly) Goode. On September 28th, 1974 in Elkins, she was united in marriage to Gregory R. Morgan. She is survived by her husband and two children, daughter Betsy L. Cutright and husband Ryan of Buckhannon, son Jonathan R. Morgan and wife Jennifer of Elkins, her brother Robert “Wes” Goode and wife Bonnie of Elkins, her brother-in-law Kenneth “Brad” Morgan and wife Paula of Beverly, and grandchildren Grant and Emma Morgan. She is also survived by several nieces and one nephew, including special nieces Kristin (Goode) Reid of Florida and Danielle (Goode) Ullman of Fairmont, whom she babysat for many years. She was predeceased by her parents, her parents-in-law John J. and Lily G. (Sanders) Morgan, brother-in-law Robert L. Morgan, and one grandchild, Eli D. Morgan. Pam had recently retired, but was previously employed as a teacher at the Montessori Early Learning Center in Elkins for nearly thirty years. She earned a certificate in Early Childhood Development from West Virginia Wesleyan College and was a certified Montessori instructor. She was also an active member of the Coffman Chapel United Methodist Church, the Coffman Chapel Church Ladies Auxiliary, and a local book club that she had helped form. Pam without fail looked on the sunny side of life. She loved children, springtime, early mornings, flowers, birds, chocolate, April Fool’s Day, holiday decorations, and all things related to Christmas. Above all, she treasured her family; her pets Heidi, Tracy, and Wendy; and her home and garden on Stalnaker Run Road, where she spent her entire life amongst family, neighbors, and friends. Her family, friends, and former Montessori pupils and co-workers will all miss her dearly. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at both the Davis Medical Center ICU and J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital MICU for their attentive and loving care of Pam during her illness Pam’s request for cremation was honored.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Thursday, February 17, 2022 at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm Thursday with Pastor William Riffee officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Coffman Chapel Church in care of Cindy DeMotto, 2324 Stalnaker Run Road, Elkins, WV 26241. The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Pamela L. (Goode) Morgan.
