Pamela S. Pam Chewning 1953-2002 Obituary

Pamela Sue “Pam” Chewning, 48, a resident of Route 2, in Belington, departed this life at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2002, at her home, following an extended illness. Death was attributed to cancer.

She was born Nov. 9, 1953, at Ohio, a daughter of Wilda Stark, who survives at Belington.

On Nov. 19, 1972, at Belington, she was united in marriage to Robert L. Chewning, who survives at their home in Belington.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by one son, Robert L. Chewning Jr., San Pedro, Calif.; one daughter, Amanda R. Maynard and husband, Tommy, Beverly; one granddaughter, Taylor B. Maynard; three brothers, Eugene “Bub,” Lee and Jeff Delauder, all of Belington; and two sisters, Chris Bennett, Belington, and Margie Nay, Columbus, Ohio.

Mrs. Chewning attended the schools of Barbour County. She was a homemaker and a Protestant by faith.

Friends will be received from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at Talbott Funeral Home in Belington and Tuesday until 2 p.m., the funeral hour, when services will be conducted from the funeral home parlor with the Rev. Rose “Jo” McCartney officiating. Interment will follow in the Fraternal Cemetery at Belington.
