Pansy Ellen Carr, 89, of Hendricks, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2003, at Cortland Acres Nursing Home.

She was born Dec. 9, 1913, in Hendricks, the daughter of the late Luther Bright and Clara Bell Carr.

On May 26, 1934, she married Tinnis Lee Carr, who preceded her in death in 1977.

She is survived by four sons, Doral L. Carr, Danny R. Carr and Hoye Lynn Carr, all of Parsons, and Philip M. Carr of Elkins; two daughters, Carol Ann Simmons and Zetta Jean Fansler, both of Hambleton; 12 grandchildren, Gary Lee Carr, Curtis Dean Carr, Ricky Lynn Simmons, Jeffrey Lloyd Simmons, Stacy Scott Carr, Stephanie Susan Burns, Randall Allen Fansler, Gregory Shawn Fansler, Joshua Todd Carr, Adam Michael Carr, Clarissa Lynn Carr and Eli Anderson Carr; and nine great-grandchildren, Graci Erin Carr, Kimberly Lynn Showalter, Ricky Lynn Simmons Jr., Jeffrey L. Simmons, Katie Simmons, Emily Spring Carr, Elizabeth Summer Carr, Samantha Cori Burns and Tanner Mark Burns.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Buddy and Hoye Bright; and one sister, Violet M. Foster.

Mrs. Carr was a homemaker and a member of the Pentecostal Church of Rosendorf.

Friends will be received at the Parsons Church of God from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. today.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Parsons Church of God with the Rev. Eli Hostetler officiating.

Interment will follow in the Brights Chapel Cemetery. Hinkle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
