She was born Feb. 10, 1950, at Elkins, a daughter of the late Clarence W. Lamb and Shirley M. Vance Lamb.

On July 17, 1965 she was married to Herman L. Mallow, who survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Sherry Weese and husband, Clifford, of Highland Park, and Robin Riffle and husband, Adrian, of Beverly; one son, Dennis Mallow and wife, Debbie, of Teaberry Hills; one sister, Shirley Wilfong and husband, Duane, of the Leading Creek Road; and one brother, Michael Lamb and companion, Pat Brandani, of Chenoweth Creek. Also preceding her in death was one sister, Louella Ketterman.

Mrs. Mallow attended the schools of Randolph County. She worked at the Memorial General Hospital until she retired to stay home and care for her grandchildren. She enjoyed dirt track racing and she was employed by the Elkins Motor Speedway until her health no longer allowed her this pleasure. She also volunteered her services at Nella’s Nursing Home and was a Girl Scout leader for 20 years. When she wasn’t helping in the community, she enjoyed watching her wind chimes by her bedside, crocheting, crafting, reading and doing search word puzzles. She loved family reunions and her grandchildren. Patty was known by most as “Momma” or “MaMaw” and she will be dearly missed.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, at Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday from the funeral home chapel with the Rev.
