Paul Franklin Ferrebee, 83, a resident of Route. 1, Elkins, passed away at 2:30 a.m. Monday, May 26, 2003 in the Davis Memorial Hospital emergency department.

He was born Jan. 13, 1920, at Keyser, a son of the late Earl Franklin and Margaret Elkins Ferrebee Bell.

On March 13, 1942, he was married to Lenora Tallman Ferrebee, who preceded him in death on Oct. 18, 1994.

Surviving are four sons, Earl Ferrebee of Natchez, Miss., Robert Ferrebee of Morgantown, Dale Ferrebee of Buena Vista, Va., and David Ferrebee of Elkins. Two half-brothers, Glenn Bell of Lonaconing, Md., and Gene Bell of Westernport, Md., a sister, Retha Garrett of San Diego, Ca., eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren also survive.

Also preceding him in death were one brother, Donald Ferrebee and one half-brother, Thomas Bell.

Mr. Ferrebee was employed as a railroad carman retiring from the Chessie System Railroad. He was a member of the Randolph County Senior Center, the Brotherhood of Railway Carman and the First Church of the Nazarene in Elkins.

Friends may call from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Tomblyn Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Terry Burgess officiating. Interment will follow in the Mountain State Memorial Gardens near Gilman.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene Building Fund, Lincoln and Main St., Elkins, W.Va., 26241 in memory of Mr. Ferrebee. The Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Paul Franklin Ferrebee.
