Pauline Lillian Bonnell, 75, a resident of Montrose, passed away Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, at her home.

She was born June 5, 1937, in Pendleton County, a daughter of the late Samuel and Ethel May Bennett Warner.

On Aug. 20, 1960, at Montrose, she was married to Bernard Junior “June” Bonnell, who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Terry J. Bonnell of Montrose and Gary Ray Bonnell of Elkins; one brother, Charles H. Warner of Montrose; and three sisters, Mrs. Marvin (Joy L.) Gainer and Wilma Galensky, both of Mosheim, Tenn., and Mrs. Bill (Vallie) Wilhoit of Ohio. Three grandchildren, Autumn Bonnell of Elkins, Gary Ray Bonnell Jr. of Montrose and Scottie Ray Bonnell of Montrose; and four great grandchildren, Gary Ray Bonnell III, Zachary Bonnell, Hunter Bonnell and Jason Bonnell, also survive.

Also preceding her in death were three brothers, Roscoe, Fred and Willard Warner.

Mrs. Bonnell was a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved being surrounded by her family. She fought a courageous battle with cancer for 13 years and went to be with Jesus surrounded by her family and close friends. She was Pentecostal by faith and attended Believers Fellowship Church.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until noon Wednesday, Jan. 9, at Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A funeral service will be conducted at noon Wednesday from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Terry Cannon officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain State Memorial Gardens near Gilman.

Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Pauline Lillian Bonnell.
