PEARL CLEMENTINE CRITES PAINTER 1951-2010 Obituary

PEARL CLEMENTINE CRITES PAINTER, age 59 years, a resident of Elkins, WV, departed this life

Thursday evening, June 10, 2010 at the Davis Memorial Hospital at Elkins. She had been in declining health for several years.

She was born Friday, January 19, 1951 at Morgantown, WV, a daughter of the late Seamer Crites and Lenora Leary Crites. On August 21, 1970 at Elkins, she was married to Jack Dempsey Painter, who survives.

Also surviving are one son, Michael Paul Crites and wife Angel, Elkins; one stepdaughter, Crystal Crites husband Jimmy Hedrick, Beverly; five brothers, Thomas, Gary, George and Ronnie Crites, all of Elkins, and David Crites, Valley Head; five sisters, Dorothy Watts, Angela Crites and Christina Crites, all of Elkins; Sharon Morgan, Shinnston, Penny Regester, Lumberport; one grandson, Aden Crites and one granddaughter, Amberlyn Crites.

Preceding her in death are two sisters, Barbara McCauley and Helen Moore.

She attended the schools of Ohio. She worked for the former Reidboard Brothers and Beta Shoe Co. She loved children and animals and was a noted cook.

The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins on Monday from 5 to 8 PM. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home chapel Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at 1:30 PM. The Rev. Dewaine Corley will officiate and interment will follow at Mt. State Memorial Gardens at Gilman.
