Pearl Lorraine Resides Dahlin, 86, a former resident of Findley Street and a patient in the Elkins Regional Convalescent Center, passed away at 1:20 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2003, at the center.

She was born March 30, 1916, at Phillipsburg, Pa., a daughter of the late Joseph Resides and Cora Willemina Hoover Eddington Resides.

On Jan. 30, 1932, at Woodstock, Va., she was married to Robert Alexander Dahlin, who preceded her in death on July 7, 2001.

Surviving are one son, Robert Dahlin II of Kingsport, Tenn.; three daughters, Patricia Pritt of Elkins, Janet LaFollette of Clarksburg, and Ruthann Morgenroth of Stroudsburg, Pa.

Also surviving are seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were two sisters, Dorothy Holden and Mary Murphy.

Mrs. Dahlin had worked as a cook at the Memorial General Hospital Snack Shop prior to her retirement.

She was a member of the Business and Professional Women’s Club and enjoyed painting and gardening.

She was a member of the Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church and Circle No. 6 of the church.

Friends may call from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Jeff Falter officiating.

Entombment will follow in Maplewood Memorial Mausoleum. The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Pearl Lorraine Resides Dahlin.
