Polly Mae Minear Boltz, age 80 years, a resident of Beverly, WV departed this life early Wednesday morning, March 3, 2021 at her home. She had been in declining health although death was unexpected.
She was born Monday, March 4, 1940 at Elkins, WV a daughter of the late Adonijah and Bertha Nelson Minear. On February 15, 1957 at Red House, MD she was married to the Donald Wayne Boltz, Sr., who preceded her in death March 24, 2019. Surviving are one son, Donald Wayne Boltz, Jr. and wife Barbara of Beverly; one daughter, Mary Catherine Boltz of Beverly; two brothers, John Minear and wife Frances of Dailey, Roger Ware and wife Judy of Elkins; one sister, Nancy Moore and husband Dave of Beverly; three grandchildren, Andrea Boltz of Galloway, Miracle Boltz of Huntington, and Bryon Boltz of Morgantown; one great grandson, Mason Ketterman of Galloway; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are six brothers, Thomas, Cecil, Oliver, Carl and infants Franklin and William; and two sisters, Olive and Dorothy.
Polly attended the schools of Cravensdale and had been a House Cleaner in Pontiac, Michigan. After moving back to WV, Polly took care of children and her mother in law, and worked in Home Healthcare. She loved traveling but also enjoyed being at home. She enjoyed reading, spending time with her family and especially loved her grandchildren and great grandson. She was always helping other people, was a member of the Tygarts Valley Baptist Church and had a strong faith in God.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 4 to 6 PM, Monday. Final Rites will be conducted at the funeral home, Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 11 AM. The Rev. Jack Howell and Pastor Bryan Headley will officiate and interment will follow at the American Legion’s Little Arlington Cemetery at Cravensdale, WV. Masks and social distancing will be required.
