Popular Mechanics published Traveling Mans Portable Receiver in 1933, and used it as a start for the Little Giant series of broadcast receivers

A new radio design every year, some with cabinet designs, some not, and always a simple design

Over the years more options were added, intercoms, record layers, and AM/FM and the circuit design changed year to year based on what was popular in the industry

The series ended in 1956 when a transistor radio design was offered
