TFW-01 by Aldo Toni is a thermal soaring flying wing (unusual). There is aerodynamic twist and washout. The Panknin formulas were used to makecalculations for wing twist. Good illustration of construction and design.
Wood can be used to make strong spars which will not fail under heavy loads. This is done by changes in design allowing greater x-sections of spar caps.Changes in cap width and thickness can be considered as well asthe use of taper. Paragon Design by Ed. Slobod is example of good design.
