Ralph Edward Harman II, 50, of Petersburg, died on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2003, at the Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, Va., after a short illness.

Mr. Harman was born on April 24, 1953, in Petersburg, the son of the late Ralph E. Harman Sr. and Helen Louise Boor Harman.

He was a lifelong resident of Petersburg and graduated from Petersburg High School in 1971. He also attended Potomac State College and Fairmont State College.

Mr. Harman was a self-employed carpenter. He was a member of the Petersburg Presbyterian Church and served as a church elder.

He is survived by three daughters, Leslie Raines, Tammy Kimble and Kim See; one son, Tim Harman; and seven grandchildren, all of Petersburg.

He is also survived by two sisters, Sue Carole Wieneke and Ann Longbon, both of Petersburg; and two brothers, Robert L. Harman of Lahmansville and John W. Harman of Gettysburg, Pa.

One sister, Nancy Lee Harman, preceded him in death.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Petersburg Presbyterian Church in Petersburg with the Rev. Guy Richard Cardot and the Rev. Richard Longbon officiating. Family will receive friends at the church following the service.
