Randall Keith “Applesauce” Rush, age 60 years, a resident of Mill Creek, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2011 in the Wintersong Village at Washington Court House, Ohio. He was born June 13, 1951 at Mill Creek, a son of Mildred Taylor Rush of Mill Creek and the late Jesse James Rush. Also surviving is one brother, Kenneth Rush, of Mill Creek and seven sisters, Rhonda Joyce Kepner, of Elkins, Latricia Sue Ford, of Dailey, Eletha “Libby” Rush, of Mill Creek, Tammy Chapman, of Craigsville, WV, Donna Kennedy, of Beverly, Wilma Shinaberry, of Greenbank, WV, and Phyllis Williams, of Kerens. Two half sisters, Janet Dumire, of Elkins and Jeannie Johnson, of Mill Creek, two half brothers, Ronald Rush, of Mill Creek and Bobby Rush, of Michigan, twelve nieces and nephews and twenty great nieces and nephews also survive. Also preceding him in death were two half sisters, Georgia and Lorraine Haney, two half brothers, Harrison and Jesse Rush and one nephew, Victor Ramsey.
Friends may call from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Saturday, June 25, 2011 at the Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins. On Sunday, June 26th, Randall will be moved to the Jerusalem United Methodist Church where friends may call from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M., the funeral hour. Rev. Bonnie Starkey will officiate and interment will follow at the Jerusalem Cemetery. The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Randall Keith “Applesauce” Rush.
