Raymond Liberati, 79, of Route 1 Box 401, Grafton, died at 5:05 a.m. Thursday, June 20, 2002 at his residence.

He was born June 11, 1923, in Clarksburg, a son of the late Doninick Liberati and the late Mary Josephine Mosesso Liberati.

Twice married, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Lorraine Burton Liberati in 1973, and is survived by his wife, Mary Rogers Liberati.

Also surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Robert Lee and Mary Li#berati, Parkersburg; one daughter and son-in-law, Judith Carol Liberati and Larry Wilson, Clarksburg; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Randall Lee (Judy Ann Knotts) McCauley, Philippi; one brother, Frank Robet Liberati, Grafton; and one sister, Rosalie Barnosky, Clarksburg;10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Clyde Fenton, Washington, Pa.

He was preceded in death by one son, Tommy Raymond Liberati, and by two sisters, Sestilia Bell and Nancy Fenton, and an infant brother, David Liberati.

Mr. Liberati was a member of the Missionary Alliance Church. He had owned and operated Liberati Trucking for over 47 years. He enjoyed traveling.

Friends will be received Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Davis-weaver Funeral Home, 329 E. Main St., Clarksburg. A funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Barney Snowden presiding. Interment will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care, 207 Latrobe St., Grafton, W.Va. 26354.
