Rebecca Jane “Janie” Hart Daniels, 77, a resident of East Dailey, passed from this life Monday, June 28, 2021, at home surrounded by family and under the care of West Virginia Caring.

Janie was born Friday, March 24, 1944, in Beverly, a daughter of the late Mason Howard Hart and Betty Gibbons Hart. On November 16, 1963, in Beverly, she married Ronald Lystel Daniels who survives.

Also left to cherish her memory are three children, Terry Daniels of Beverly, Missy Daniels and fiancé Jeff Wamsley of Valley Bend, Megan Daniels and fiancé Jeff Young of East Dailey, grandchildren, Tiffany and Joel Daniels, Jeffrey Wamsley and companion Skylar Claypool, Jarin, Grayson, and Ivy Young, great-grandchild, Conner, two sisters, Sally Pingley and husband Larry of Ohio, Mary Anne Johnson of Florida, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceding her in death besides her parents was one brother, John Hart.

Janie was a graduate of Beverly High School and had been employed as a school bus driver for Randolph County Head Start and as a home healthcare worker at the Randolph County Senior Center. She enjoyed her flower beds, camping, and spending hours working puzzles. Janie loved to watch Mountaineer basketball and football on tv and would play basketball and baseball with the kids. She was Presbyterian by faith and attended Valley Bend Presbyterian Church.

Janie’s request for cremation was honored. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 2, 2021 at the Valley Bend Presbyterian Church in East Dailey at 1 PM. The Pastor Ann Fretwell will officiate.
