Richard Doyle Fincham, 74, a resident of Baltimore, Md., passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2003, in Baltimore.

He was born Dec. 24, 1928, at Adolph, the son of the late Harvey and Effie Pritt Fincham.

He was married to Florence Jacobs Fincham, who survives.

Also surviving are one son, Dan Fincham, Sykesville, Md.; a daughter, Sharon Pierpoint, Glen Burnie, Md.; two sisters, Frieda Kiess, Mill Creek, and Juanita Poe, Elkins; six grandchildren, Lisa Fore, Dawn Fincham, Nicole Fincham, Sheena Fincham, Charlene Pierpoint and Joseph Pierpoint; and five great-grandchildren.

Also preceding him in death were one son, Thomas Fincham; and one daughter, Sheila Fincham.

Mr. Fincham was a veteran of the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy. He was a truck driver prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Freight Drivers Union Local 557.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Verl Simmons officiating. Interment will follow in Fincham Chapel Cemetery near Adolph. The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Richard Doyle Fincham.
