Richard J. Barth, age 94, formerly of Chambersburg, died unexpectedly early Sunday Morning, December 27, 2020 at Nottingham Village in Northumberland where had resided since July 2020.

Born in Buffalo, New York on December 24, 1926, he was a son of the late John W. and Ruth (Kalbfleisch) Barth. He graduated from high school in Buffalo and received his B.S. degree from the University of Buffalo.

Richard resided in Chambersburg for 15 years before moving to Northumberland and earlier he lived in Clermont, Fla. for 10 years.

He was employed by the Moore Business Forms and Paper Products Co. in New Hampshire as a regional vice-president when he retired.

Richard proudly served his country as a member of the U. S. Navy during World War II.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former May Eschner on November 25, 2018 and by a sister, Georgia Schlifke.

Surviving are a son, Peter Barth and his wife Janet, Coraopolis, a daughter Marilyn, wife of David Cutright, Bloomsburg and five grandchildren.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
