Robert “Bob” J. Lunsford, age 77, passed away from a long illness on Sunday, October 25, 2010. He was born on October 16, 1933 in Elkins, West Virginia, a son of the late James and Ruby Graham Lunsford. He is survived by Joan, his loving wife of 43 years, one sister, Rose Skidmore of Elkins, two daughters, Deena Drinkard of Texas and Kimberly Pettery of Tennessee, three stepsons, Nathan E. Scott of Virginia, Steven Scott and Glenn Scott both of North Carolina, and brothers-in-law, Charles(Carolyn) Church of Valley Bend and Dale (Peggy) Church of Carv, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, James E. Lunsford and Pete Lunsford. He was past Commander of the American Legion Post #47, past District 9 Commander, past Chef DeGar of the 40&8, and a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars #4360, and boy, did he love his Bingo games! Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM at the Hazelwood Cemetery on Saturday, November 6, 2010.
