Robert L. “Bob” Scott 1943-2021 Obituary
Robert Leonard “Bob” Scott, age 78 years, a resident of Coalton, passed from this life Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at his residence. Bob was born June, 29, 1943 at Coalton, WV a son of the late Charles K. Scott and the late Mary L. Phillips Scott. He was married to Rosalee White Scott who preceded him in death February 19, 2020. Left to cherish his memory are his children; daughters, Mary Beth Sparks and husband John, Dailey, WV, Kimberly Ann Bennett and husband Jon, Jimtown, WV, Bobbi Jean George and husband Randy, Coalton, WV and Eleanora Marie Cummings and husband Michael, Flatwoods, WV; brothers, Richard Scott and James D. Scott, Coalton, WV and Robert L. Scott, Moorfield, WV. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Mr. Scott was preceded in death by a daughter, Jacqueline Scott White, brothers, John K. Scott and Frankie Scott, sisters, Eleanor Zirkle and Ann Teter and a granddaughter, Amber Cummings. Bob attended the schools or Randolph County and was a Veteran of the United Stated Army. He was employed as a coalminer for many years prior to his retirement and was a longtime member and president of the Roaring Creek Hunting Club. Bob’s request for cremation will be honored. The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Robert Leonard “Bob” Scott.
