Robert Lee Dyke, 64 of Alderson was called home to be with the Lord, March 15, 2022, at his home. Born March 4, 1958 at Salem, Ohio and was a son of the late Donald and Margaret Randolph Dyke.

Robert worked hard most of his life. He worked in Texas in the oil refinery, Summers County as a groundskeeper for Pipestem and Willowood Golf Courses, and was even a car salesman for a time.

He was a member of Cook’s Chapel Baptist Church. He loved being in the country. He enjoyed the sounds of the country. The cows, the birds, wild animals, and the sound of the creek. Robert died peacefully, where he wanted to be, at home with his family.

Robert is survived by his loving wife Mary Louise Dyke, three stepdaughters, Lydia Brunty and husband Charles of Talcott, Melinda Dove and husband Freddie of Lerona, Lindsay Brown of Hinton, two sisters, Sandy Bowlin and husband Randy, and Patty Voytek and husband Jim, three brothers, Donnie Dyke of Oklahoma, Joe Dyke and wife Carol, and Mike Dyke and wife Teresa all of Ohio, grand-children; Isaiah Dove, Jaxson Brunty, and Annslee Dove

Graveside services will be conducted Friday, March 18, 2022 at 10:00 am with Pastor Dallas Peyton, Jr. officiating at the Gore Family Cemetery on Hungard’s Creek Road.

A memorial service will be held at a later time at Cook’s Chapel.
