ROBERT LEE SNYDER 1951-2010 Obituary
ROBERT LEE SNYDER, age 58 years, a resident of Huttonsville, WV departed this life Tuesday evening, April 20, 2010 at the Davis Memorial Hospital. He had been in declining health.
He was born Thursday, June 14, 1951 at Mill Creek, WV a son of the late James Ervin Taylor and Alma Louise Snyder Taylor, who survives. On October 15, 1969 at Mill Creek, WV he was happily married 40 years to the former Josephine Loretta Louk, who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Roxie Lea Snyder, Huttonsville; five brothers, Woodford Taylor and Bonnie Woodford, Huttonsville; Harry Taylor and wife Cindy, OH; Edward Taylor, Mill Creek; Randy Taylor and wife Patricia, Mill Creek; Kenneth Taylor, Mill Creek; three sisters, Opal Atkinson and husband Amos, Beverly; Margaret Hamrick and John, Kerens; Isabell Henline and Richard McCrobie, Mill Creek and one granddaughter, Atlin Hope Snyder, the absolute light of his life. He attended the schools of Randolph County and Tygart’s Valley High School, and was a tree foreman for Asplundh Tree Company for over thirty years.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved to play guitar and sing with family and friends. His favorite pastime was taking Atlin for her afternoon 4-wheeler ride. He loved to have a good time and joke around to make people laugh. He enjoyed building and craftsmanship. His family was his life.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 5 to 8 PM, Friday. Final Rites will be conducted at the funeral home chapel, Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 2 PM. The Reverend William Sullivan will officiate and interment will follow at the Brick Church Cemetery at Huttonsville, WV.
