Rosalie Ann Owens, 47, of Junior, died Monday, January 31, at her home following an extended illness. She was born August 8, 1963, at Elkins, a daughter of Jessie Lee and Janet Marie (Watson) Shifflett, who survive at Junior. On April 11, 1986, she was married to Allen Ross Owens, who survives at their home in Junior. Also surviving are one son, Adam Lee Owens, at home; one brother, Robert Lee Shifflett, Junior; three sisters, Sharon Marie Scott, Beverly, Susan Jean Howell, Belington, Jessica Lynn Simmons, Junior and several aunts and uncles. Mrs. Owens was a homemaker and attended the Gospel Light Tabernacle at Elkins. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 3, 2011 from the Schoonover – Stemple Funeral Chapel, 609 Crim Avenue, Belington. Pastor A. H. Belt will officiate and interment will follow in the Trinity Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 P.M., the funeral hour, on Thursday.
