Roselind Ruth Watson Hinchman, 66, a resident of Elkins, passed from this life Monday, June 3, 2013, at home. Rose was born Tuesday, October 29, 1946 in Elkins, a daughter of the late William Watson and Helen Delores Raines Watson. Left to cherish Rose’s memory are two sons: Donald “Ray” Hinchman and wife, Kathy of Atlantic Highlands, NJ and Rodney Lynn Hinchman and wife, Katie of Elkins, four brothers, William Watson, Steven Watson and wife, Charlotte all of Huntington, David Watson and wife, Tina of Junior, Michael Watson of Philippi, one sister, Willa Scott of Elkins, a brother-in-law, Delbert Griffith of Elkins, four grandsons, Donald Ray Hinchman, Jr. of Atlantic Highlands, Andrew Hinchman of Beverly, Steven Hinchman and Joshua Hinchman both of Elkins, several nieces and nephews and one grandchild on the way that Rose was very excited about. Besides her parents, Rose was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Karlene Hinchman, a sister, Carolyn Griffith, and a very dear friend, Myra L. Shreve. Rose attended the schools of Randolph County, and had worked as a certified nursing assistant for Coordinated Council for Independent Living for many years. She had also worked in housekeeping for Best Western Motel. She enjoyed camping, hiking, picking blackberries, and making jellies and pies. She loved singing in the choir at her churches having faithfully attended both the Tabernacle of Deliverance and then for the last several years, the Gospel Light Tabernacle. Rose’s request for cremation was honored.
