Roy Harris 1935-2003 Obituary
Roy Lee Harris, 68, a resident of the Laurel Mountain Road, passed away at 12:58 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2003, in the Presbyterian University Hospital in Pittsburgh.
He was born May 19, 1935, in Valley Bend, a son of the late Martin Luther and Rebecca Bell Collins Harris.
He was twice married, first to Nancy Daniels, and later to Mildred Marie Walker Harris, who survives in Elkins.
Also surviving are two sons, Tim Harris and wife, Shelly, of Florida, and Randall Harris and wife, Amy, of Elkins; one stepson, Bill Oldaker of Elkins; one daughter, Mrs. David (Janet) Tice of Beverly; three brothers, Delbert Harris of Beverly, Denver Harris of Mill Creek and Glenn Harris of Colorado; one sister, Pauline Holt of Valley Bend; and seven grandchildren, Amber and Brandon Tice and Brittni, Victoria, Vanessa, Joseph and Rebeka Harris.
Also preceding him in death were a son, Chad Walker Harris; two brothers, John Harris and William B. Harris; and four sisters, Ruth Hedrick, Viola Wilfong, Laura Lea Brace and Lela Vanover.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be under the direction of the Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins for Roy Lee Harris.
