Samantha Louise Hinkle, 42, a resident of Elkins, passed from this life early Wednesday morning, November 28, 2012 at the Davis Memorial Hospital following a long battle with cancer. She was born Tuesday, June 30, 1970 in Elkins, a daughter of Clark Daniel Hinkle of Elkins and the late Lola M. Brick Hinkle. Samantha is survived by two daughters, Kaitlin Nicole McLaughlin and Jessica Anne McLaughlin, her former husband, Bryan McLaughlin of Winchester, VA with whom she had remained friends, her maternal grandmother, Ruth Elaine Hinkle, her uncle, William H. “Bill” Grindle of Elkins, and a cousin Paul Grindle of Elkins. Samantha was proceeded in death by her maternal grandparents, William Patrick Brick and Alyce Virginia Brick, her paternal grandfather, Ellery James Hinkle her aunt, Rosilee Anna Grindle Samantha was a graduate of Elkins High School with the class of 1988, had attended Davis & Elkins College, and was a homemaker. She enjoyed quilting, online gaming, and staying in contact with family and friends through social media. Samantha’s request for cremation was honored. A graveside service will be held at the Davis Cemetery in Davis on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 1PM. The Randolph Funeral Home and Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements for Samantha Louise Hinkle.
