SAMUEL JOHN BIGGS Samuel John Biggs, 44, of Belington, died Tuesday, February 8, at the Davis Memorial Hospital, following an unexpected illness. He was born July 23, 1966, at Philippi, a son of the late Ralph Donald and Minerva Gertrude (Wolfe) Biggs. On May 25, 2005, he married the former Alice Elizabeth “Libbie” McDaniel, who survives at Belington. Also surviving are one step-son, Danny Ray Kizmore III, Parsons; one sister, Georgia Sue (Charles “Bussy”) Shahan, Montrose; two brothers, Raymond Ray (Helen) Biggs and Ralph Donald (Clara) Biggs, all of Philippi. He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Dessie Marie Robinson, Carol Hymes and Edith Pearl McGee and by three brothers, Freddie Wilbur Adams, Floyd Henry Menear and Charles David Pugh. Mr. Biggs was a former saw mill laborer. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 12, from the Schoonover – Stemple Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery at Philippi. Friends may call at the Schoonover – Stemple Funeral Chapel from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M. on Friday and from 9:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M., the funeral hour on Saturday. The family requests memorials in the form of contributions to the family in care of Freedom Bank, P.O. Box 922, Belington, W.Va. 26250. Schoonover – Stemple Funeral Chapel was entrusted with arrangements.
