SHIRLEY DARL NESTOR Shirley Darl Nestor, 75, of Rt. #2, Belington, died Saturday, April 20, 2013, in the Hospice Care Regional Inpatient Care Center, Elkins, following an extended illness. He was born February 20, 1938, near Belington, a son of the late John Everett Nestor and the late Ruth Lorene (Bonnett) Knight. On September 4, 1959, he married the former Violet “Fay” Morris, who survives at Rt. #2, Belington. Also surviving are two daughters, Deborah Delauder and husband, Lee, Belington, Ruth Wright and husband, Leroy, Tennerton; two sons, Charles Everett Nestor and Dewey Ray Nestor, both of Belington; one half-brother, Robert Knight, Beverly and one half-sister, Teresa Davis, Elkins; two grandchildren, Steven Darl Dasher and Wyatt Wright and several step-grandchildren; three great grandchildren, Melia Dasher, Jared Dasher, Summer Dasher and several step-great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his step-mother, Clara Elizabeth “Betty” (Spencer) Nestor and by a half-brother, Richard Knight. Mr. Nestor was a graduate of Belington High School and retired from the Barbour County Division of the West Virginia Department of Highways. He was a member of the Corley United Methodist Church. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed camping, especially along the Greenbrier River. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 24, from the Schoonover – Stemple Funeral Chapel, 609 Crim Avenue, Belington. Pastor Michael Peschl and The Rev. James Gray will officiate and interment will follow in the Barbour Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 until 9:00 P.M. on Tuesday and from 9:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M., the funeral hour, on Wednesday. Schoonover – Stemple Funeral Chapel was entrusted with arrangements.
