TERRY L. POLING Terry Lee Poling, 67, of Rt. #1, Moatsville, Shiloh Community, died Wednesday, August 28, at his home, following an extended illness. He was born February 10, 1946, at Sinclair, Preston County, a son of the late Emwood Hayward Poling and the late Wilda H. (Phillips) Poling Sturm. On October 15, 1968, he married the former Sandra Kay Wilson, who survives at their home. Also surviving are one daughter, Cheryl Denise Ferrebee and husband, Jay, Williamstown; two sons, Terry Scott Poling and wife, Terri and Lee Daniel Poling and wife, Heather, all of Grafton; two sisters, Sharlene Mills and Delores Freeman, both of Moatsville; four brothers, Donald Poling, Moatsville, Ronald Poling and Michael Poling, both of Philippi, Randall Poling, Morgantown; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Mr. Poling was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, serving during the Vietnam Conflict with the Combat Engineers. He retired from Rex Hide Corp. as a Batch Off Unit Operator. He was a member of the Shiloh Church of the Brethren where he served as Trustee, Lay Speaker and band leader of the Witness Commission. He was a longtime member of the Gospel Four Quartet. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 31, 2013, from the Shiloh Church of the Brethren. Pastor Hal Sonafrank and Pastor Garry Clem will officiate and interment will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery where military rites will be accorded. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2:00 until 9:00 P.M. on Friday and from 9:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon on Saturday when Mr. Poling will be moved to the Shiloh Church of the Brethren where friends may call from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Stemple & Forman Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
