Mrs. Tonia Lynn Turner, age 59 and a resident of Belington passed away suddenly Thursday evening, October 14, 2021 in the Emergency Department of the Davis Medical Center at Elkins.

She was born February 13, 1962 at Morgantown, WV a daughter of the late Donald Edward Coleman and Linda Kay Wolfe Coleman, who survives at Philippi.

On August 14, 1999 she was united in marriage to David Michael Turner, who survives at their home in Belington. In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by one brother Michael Todd Coleman and fiancé, Carman Sharp of Philippi, her Aunt Barbara Allen, of Philippi, Aunt and Uncle John and Peggy Rapsky of Parma Heights, OH; cousins Dawn and Rob Goodwin of PA, Amy Allen of Philippi, and Steve and Dorothy Rapsky of Florida. Additional survivors include several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Edward and Izatta Ruth Coleman, Virginia and Wilbur Simpson and Robert Wolfe, one brother, Jeffrey Lee Coleman, and one nephew, Chance Coleman.

Tonia graduated from the Morgantown High School and while living in Florida, she was employed by The Merrill Lynch Corporation. She was a former employee of The Belington Prescription Center and The Talbott Funeral Home in Belington. She had a great love of horses and Alpacas, and was co-owner along with her husband of The Heavenly Acres Farm near Belington. Tonia had a great love for airplanes and love came from her time she spent as a young girl with her grandparents, who owned The Simpson Airport near Philippi.

Tonia was such a loving and caring lady who would help anyone at any time, no matter the need. She will always be remembered for her big heart, love of animals and for people. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Friends will be received from The Talbott Funeral Home, 56 N. Brandenburg St. in Belington, on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, from 6 PM to 8 PM and on Wednesday from
8 AM to 11 AM the funeral hour when funeral services will be conducted from the Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmie E. Tallman officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Animal Friends of Barbour County, 320 Valley Bend RD, Belington, WV 26250. Per Tonia’s request, cremation will follow. Due to Covid -19 restrictions face covering are required while paying your respects in the funeral home.
