TRAVIS M. TRESIZE Travis Matthew Tresize, 13, of Little Hacker Creek Road, Philippi, died Friday, January 6, as a result of injuries received in a single vehicle accident on W.Va. Route 57 near the Stewart’s Run Road intersection. He was born on August 11, 1998, at Clarksburg, a son of Angela Dawn (Knotts) Tresize who survives at Philippi and Lester Frank Tresize Jr., who survives at Meadowbrook. Also surviving are one brother, Nicholas Tresize, at home; his maternal grandparents, Lawrence G. Knotts, Moatsville and Gladys K. (Harris) Knotts, Clarksburg; his paternal grandmother, Virginia (Barker) Tresize, Meadowbrook and an aunt, Michelle L. Starkey, Philippi. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Lester Frank Tresize Sr. Travis was a special needs student at Philippi Middle School. He participated in Special Olympics and particularly enjoyed the computer system he received from the Make-a-wish Foundation. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 10, from the Shiloh Church of the Brethren. The Rev. Larry Poling will officiate and interment will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 until 9:00 P.M. on Monday at the Stemple & Forman Funeral Home, 385 So. Main Street, Philippi, W.Va. and from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday at the Shiloh Church of the Brethren. Stemple & Forman Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
