TROY MORRAL, SR., age 78 years, a resident of the Clover Run Community, Parsons, WV, departed this life Monday evening December 30, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. He had been in declining health.

He was born Friday, August 30, 1935 at Baker Sods in Randolph Co., a son of the late Arthur and Dora Vance Morral. On December 8, 1956 at Elkins, WV, he was married to the former Mary Alice Bell, who survives. They had celebrated fifty seven years of marriage.

Also surviving are two sons, Troy Morral, Jr. and Sara of Kerens and Mark Bradley Morral and Lesa of Montrose; one daughter, Debra Kay Lambert and husband David of Lima, OH; four brothers, Richard Morral and wife Deloris of Gilman, Tom Morral of Montrose, Bob Morral and wife Ruth of Kerens and Jim Morral and wife Jeane of Laurel Mt; three sisters, Rosalie Petrice of Punkintown, Hazel Stevenson of Kingsville Rd. and Gerlean Schoonover and husband Tom of Gilman; nine grandchildren, Amy, Susan, Victoria, Anthony, Chelsea, Samantha, Tori, Aaron and Amanda; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death are two brothers, Bert Morral and Ernest Morral; and three sisters, Gathel Davis, Juanita Morral and Ruth Morral.

He attended the schools of Blackfork, Clover and Montrose. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was a former employee of the Sayres Tire Shop and Seneca Tire of Elkins, where he worked for several years. He along with his wife was owner and operator of T & M Furniture Restoring of Kerens, retiring in 2000. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed camping and was a collector of antiques.

The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons on Friday from 5 to 8 PM. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home parlor on Saturday, January 4, 2013 at 2PM. The Rev. Neil Precht will officiate and interment will follow at the Mountain State Memorial Gardens at Gilman, where the H.W. Daniels Post #29 American Legion, the Tygart Valley Post #3647 Veterans of Foreign War and the Tucker Co. Veterans Assoc. will conduct full military honors.
