Vallie E. Davis 1935-2003 Obituary
Vallie Esther Davis, 67, of Woodbine, Md., died Sunday, Jan. 19, 2003, at the home of her son, Robert, after an extended illness.
She was born April 7, 1935, in Randolph County, a daughter of the late Luther J. and Opal Tinger Summerfield.
She was married to William Harvey Davis III, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are one daughter and one-in-law, Rose Ann Davis Kraft and George Kraft of Jessup, Md.; two sons and a daughter-in-law, William H. Davis IV of California, Md., and Robert H. and Claudia Davis of Woodbine, Md.; one grandson, Christopher Newman of Jessup, Md.; one brother, Luther H. Summerfield of Cedar Creek, Mo.; and three sisters, Nancy Johnson of Randallstown, Md., Mary Fillipelli of Beaver Falls, Pa., and Jane Golliday of Aurora.
She was preceded in death by one son, Scott Andrew Davis; one sister, Florence Mastrogiuseppe; and one brother, Roy Summerfield.
There will be no public visitations. Graveside services will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Route 97 and Union Chapel Road, Glenwood, Md., Tuesday at 10 a.m.
