Velma Delsa Shrader Moore 1921-2010 Obituary

Velma Delsa Shrader Moore, 88, a resident of Mill Creek, entered into eternal rest Thursday evening, July 15, 2010 at the Hospice Inpatient Center in Elkins. She had been in declining health. She was born Sunday, September 25, 1921 at Mill Creek, a daughter of the late William Patrick Shrader and Lena Lloyd Shrader. During 1945, she was married to Lawrence Moore, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were two brothers; Howard and Willard Shrader, and three sisters; Genevieve Arbogast, Viola Hammonds, and Mary Moore. Velma attended the schools of Randolph County, was a homemaker that really enjoyed cooking and cleaning, and attended Valley Independent Baptist Church. She will be sadly missed by her family that she spent her life looking out for to ensure their wellbeing. Left to cherish Velma’s memory is one daughter, Catherine Louise Hans and husband, Tom, Weirton, one sister, Arrannah Howard, Mill Creek, three grandchildren, Richard Rosencrance and wife, Pam, East Dailey, Timothy Rosencrance and fiancé, Roberta “Bertie” Bennett, Snowshoe, and Susan Rosencrance, Weirton, five great grandchildren, Richie Rosencrance, Tricia Rosencrance, Heather Rosencrance, Alyciann Campbell, and Kody Rosencrance, four step great grandchildren, Brent Gladwell, Erica Gladwell, Michael Bishop and Tara Bishop, two great great grandchildren, Caylee Simons and Amalachi Rosencrance, several very special nieces and nephews including, Robert Lower and wife, Jane, Sherry Powell and husband, Scott, Rodger Wamsley and wife, Elaine, Rita Cool, Ralph Moore, David Moore, and Deborah Bennett and husband, Ronald, and several great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the funeral home chapel on Sunday, July 18, 2010 from 12 until 2 PM, the funeral hour. Interment will follow at the American Legion’s Little Arlington Cemetery.
