Vina H. “Vi” Smith, 78, of Front Royal Pike, Winchester, Va., died Tuesday, June 25, 2002, in Winchester Medical Center.
Mrs. Smith was born Jan. 20, 1924, at Onego, a daughter of Robert and Gertie Hedrick Ketterman.
On Oct. 24, 1940, in Winchester, Va., she married Isaac Smith, who survives in Winchester, Va.
Also surviving are one daughter, Rosalie M. Mauck, Woostock, Va.; one son, Jack D. Smith of Stephens City, Va.; four sisters, Dessie Nelson of Elkins, Luella Brannon, Virgie Bowen and Janie Johnson, all of Winchester, Va.; one brother, Herman Ketterman of Elkins; four great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Katherine M. Johnson.
Mrs. Smith was a presser at People’s Cleaners for 25 years until her retirement in 1997. She attended Rosedale Baptist Church.
Friends will be received at Jones Funeral Home Friday. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel Saturday at 11 a.m. with Dr. Ken H. Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Shenandoah Memorial park.
