Virginia Nadene Wiseman, 63, a resident of Bridg e Street in Junior, departed this life at noon Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2002, in the Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins. She had been in declining health for a period of time and death was attributed to cancer.

She was born in Barbour County on Feb. 23, 1939, the daughter of the late Benjamin F. and Geneva M. Woods.

On Dec. 27, 1978, in Elkins, she was united in marriage to Sterling H. Wiseman, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are two sons, Hayward L. Woods, Belington, and Timothy Jack Wiseman and wife, Debra, Coalton; one daughter, Linda Sue Hymes and husband, Wally, Junior; two sisters, Gladys L. Lornes, Minnesota, and Sylvia Juanita Woods, Elkins; one brother, Earnest Troy Woods, Colorado; two grandchildren, Perry and Amanda Sigley; one great-grandson, Jordan Swiger; and a loving companion, Galford “Junior” White.

Also surviving are three stepgrandsons, David Allen Arbogast, Michael Lee Arbogast and Travis Wade Riffle.

Preceding her in death were one daughter, Gladys S. Sigley; one sister, Betty Jean Swick; one brother, Frankie Woods; and one infant great-grandson, Corey Blade Sigley.

Mrs. Wiseman attended the schools of Barbour County, was a homemaker and a Protestant by faith.

Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home in Belington from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. today and on Friday until 2 p.m., the funeral hour, when services will be conducted from the funeral home parlor with the Rev. Jim Curtis officiating. Interment will follow in the Trinity Cemetery near Belington. The Talbott Funeral Home in Belington is in charge of the arrangements for Virginia N. Wiseman.
