Virginia Rose Booth, 65, of Buckhannon, died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2003, at the home of her friends, Geraldine and Wayne Hamrick of the Hampton Road.

She was born June 23, 1937, at Alexander, a daughter of Harold and Nettie Johnson Golden, who both survive in Buckhannon.

She was united in marriage on April 11, 1964, to Lawrence H. Booth, who survives.

She is also survived by two sons, Stanley Booth of Beverly, and Randal Booth of Pickens; one daughter, Stella Rose Casto of Buckhannon; seven grandchildren; six sisters, Rachel Smith and Ellen Shingleton, both of Buckhannon, Opal Corbitt of Cleveland, Ohio, Twila Morris of Buckhannon, Joanne Audia of Morgantown, and Rhonda Hinkle of French Creek; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.

Mrs. Booth was a long-time member of the Pickens Baptist Church.

Friends will be received at Heavner & Cutright Funeral Chapel today from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Brooks Hill United Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert Heavner officiating. Interment will follow in the Brooks Hill Cemetery.

The Heavner & Cutright Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
