Waldo Triplett “Wally” Ward II, 52, a former resident of the Crystal Springs community, Elkins, and a resident of 3588 South Waco Way, Aurora, Colo., departed this life Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, at the Health One Medical Center in Aurora, Colo. He had been in declining health and death was attributed to heart failure.

He was born Thursday, May 25, 1950, in Elkins, the son of the late Waldo Triplett Ward and Margaret J. Talbott Ward, who survives at Crystal Springs.

Also surviving are one son, Bradley T. Ward and wife, Angela, Aurora, Colo.; two daughters, Chandra Wickwire and husband, Jerry, Aurora, Colo., and Michelle Ward, Elkins; twin brothers, Terry Lee Ward, Pittsburgh, Pa., and Larry Lynn Ward, Crystal Springs; three grandchildren, Briana Coe, Haley Ward and Morgan Ward; and several nieces and nephews.

Wally was a graduate of Elkins High School with the class of 1968, where he had been active in Future Farmers of America.

He had served with the Army National Guard, was formerly employed as the fleet manager for the F.A. Tucker Corp. at Troy, Mich., had worked for the Union Power Co. at Colorado and was the manager of Western Fleet Operation for the Par Electrical Contractors Corp. at Englewood, Colo., which served a number of western states.

Friends will be received at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Walter H. Blough will officiate and interment will follow at the Maplewood Cemetery at Elkins, where the H.W. Daniels Post 29 American Legion will present the American flag.
