Walter Bailey Scott, age 87 years, a resident of Elkins, passed away Sunday evening, April 10, 2011 at his home. He was born May 22, 1923 at Mabie, a son of the late John Amos Scott and the late Eliza Kerr Scott. On April 20, 1945 he was married to Genevieve Moyer Scott who preceded him in death on April 16, 2007. Surviving are one daughter, Nancy Howell and husband Bruce, Elkins, and a son Bradley E. Scott, Sr. and wife Kim of Elkins. Also surviving are grandchildren, Laura Manolidis and husband Jeff, James Mallow, Allen Mallow and Victoria, Jerry Mallow and wife Vada and DeWayne Mallow and wife Loretta, all of Elkins, Bradley E. Scott, Jr. and wife Amanda of Arizona and several step grandchildren, great grandchildren surviving include Chantel Howell, Angel Mallow and Dylan Mallow, Bryce and Guage Manolidis, Zachary Mallow, Shane Rowback, Ethan Scott, Daisalynn Efraimson,Shae Mallow, two great great grandchildren, Marcus Herron and Taylin Mallow, several step great grandchildren, several great great step grandchildren, one sister, Virginia Davis, Petersburg, WV, a sister-in-law, Ida Scott of Maryland and several nieces and nephews. Also preceding him in death were one son, Charles Amos Scott, two sisters, Gladys Arbogast and Edith Wilmoth and three brothers, Garland Scott, Harman Scott and Owens Lee Scott.

Friends may call from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, April 14th from the funeral home chapel with

Rev. Stella Faye Moyer officiating. Interment will follow in the Mountain State Memorial Gardens near Gilman. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care Corporation, PO Box 760, Arthurdale, WV, 26520 in memory of Mr. Scott. The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Walter Bailey Scott.
