Wanda Elizabeth Baker Rosier 1929-2002

Wanda Elizabeth Baker Rosier, 72, a native of Montrose, a former resident of Orlando, Fla., and since 1978 a resident of Port Orange, Fla., departed this life Saturday, March 16, 2002, at Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach, Fla.

She was born Sept. 24, 1929, in Montrose, a daughter of the late Isaac Devore Baker and Alice Cook Baker.

On June 6, 1947, in Oakland, Md., she was married to Ralph Leonard Rosier, who preceded her in death on Dec. 6, 1965.

Surviving are one son, Ralph Leonard Rosier Jr., Humble, Texas; two daughters, Sherry Morin and Debbie Tichenor, both of Daytona Beach, Fla.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was a graduate of Parsons High School and attended Davis & Elkins College. She was a homemaker and worked part-time at Wal-mart’s snack bar. She was a member of First United Methodist Church at Port Orange, Fla.

Graveside services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at Mountain State Memorial Gardens in Gilman. The Rev. Father Charles McCallister will officiate and interment will follow. Lohr-barb-vance Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
