Wanda Ellen Howell, 71, of Ward Road in Elkins, WV entered into eternal rest Sunday afternoon October 3, 2010 at the Hospice Care Inpatient Center on Diamond Street in Elkins surrounded by family. She was born Wednesday May 3, 1939 in Randolph County, WV, a daughter of the late Norman and Mary Collins Pritt. She was a lifelong resident of Randolph County. Wanda attended the schools of Randolph County. She was a Methodist by faith. She had been employed at several local restaurants in the Beverly and Elkins areas. She loved flower gardening. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much. On Tuesday July 2, 1974 at the United Methodist Church in Mill Creek, WV she married Clyde Howell. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband: Bady Ray Currence; two daughters: Penny Haynes and Bonnie Sue Currence; one son: Mark Jeffrey Currence; two sisters: Josephine Bennett and Sylvia Currence; three brothers: Frank Pritt, Raymond Pritt and Ross Pritt and one half-sister: Mae Pudder. Left to cherish her memories are her husband Clyde Howell of Elkins; two daughters: Cathy Moore of Elkins, WV and Peggy Cross and husband Emmett of Charleston, WV; two sons: Roger Currence and wife Laurie of Warren, OH and Tommy Currence and wife Melissa of Elkins,WV; one brother: James Pritt of Philippi, WV; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Wednesday October 6, 2010 at The Randolph Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday October 7, 2010 at the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Brick Church Cemetery in Huttonsville, WV.
