Wasson “Pete” Clyde Losh, 80, a resident of Valley Bend, passed from this life Monday evening, Augutst 25, 2014 at Davis Medical Center in Elkins. Pete was born Tuesday, August 21, 1934 in Webster County, a son of the late Opha Edward Losh and Edith Jane Talbert Losh. On March 3, 1957 in Webster Springs he married the former Ella Willovene Riffle who survives in Valley Bend. Also left to cherish his memory are one son, Dana Losh, one granddaughter, Anna Sue Losh, both of Valley Bend, and eight siblings, Lonnie Losh, Marie Callahan, Ruth Carpenter, Virginia Simpson, Vada Cool, Carol Roosa, Bonnie Neely and Lucy Riker. Preceding Pete in death besides his parents were four siblings, Fred and Carl Losh, Margaret Woods and Gertie Bellflower. Pete attended the schools of Webster County and was employed at the Ford Motor Company. He was a veteran of the US Army having served during the Korean Conflict. Pete enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, riding four wheelers and attending church. He will fondly be remembered for being a preacher for fifty years. A funeral service was held at the Brady Gate Church and interment followed in the Mingo Cemetery.
