Funeral Services For Wilbert W. Kittle, scheduled for 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 19, have been postponed until 1:00 P.M. on Monday, December 21, weather permitting. The funeral home will reopen for visitation at 9:00 P.M. on Monday morning. Wilbert W. “Wortie” Kittle Wilbert “Wortie” Kittle, 63, a resident of Rt. 1 Belington, passed away peacefully December 14, 2009 in the comfort of being surrounded by his loving family and friends in the Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born on October 10, 1946 on the Dogtown Rd near Belington. He was the son of Winnie “Katy” “Poling” Kittle who survives at Belington and the late Wilbert “Wib” Kittle. On December 24, 1968 he was united in marriage to the former Patricia Ann Putzulu who survives Rt. 1 Belington, they would of celebrated their 41st Wedding Anniversary. Surviving are five sons, Joseph “JoJo” Putzulu of Miami, FL; Joseph “Joey” Kittle and wife Charity of Junior; Thomas “Scott” Kittle and wife Crystal; Joshua Kittle and fiancé Jessica Kleinedler; Matthew “Matt” Kittle and wife Kelli all of Belington; three brothers Thomas P. Kittle and companion Terrie Hedrick; Larry Kittle and wife Janet; David Kittle and wife Vickie all of Belington; one sister Ellen Reel and companion Denver Delauder of Belington. Also surviving are eight grandchildren Lacie Kittle, Dakota Shaffer, Mackenzie Kittle, Anthony Kleinedler, Caleb Kittle, Cadie Kittle, Joseph Kittle, and Jasmyn Kittle; a special mother-in-law Margaret Putzulu of Elkins; four special nephews Jeremy Kittle of Belington; Jim Triplett; Tom Triplett; Jeff Putzulu all of Elkins and several other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law John Putzulu and nephew John Reel. Mr. Kittle was a 1965 graduate of Philip Barbour High School. Wilbert was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving the Vietnam Era. He was a former employee of Masketeers, Memorial General Hospital, Family Health Service and Barbour County Senior Center. He was a former member of the Junior Lions Club,Belington Council serving Ward II and was a current member of the I.O.O.F. Lodge #73 of Belington. Wilbert enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching football, and coaching Belington Little League Baseball. He provided a helpful hand in building the new baseball fields. He was a man of many talents including his artwork which was loved by many. He was a special fan of the WVU Mountaineers Football and The Atlanta Braves. Wilbert was an avid bingo player with his mother, sister and other family members. He will be missed by all of those who loved him. The family would like to thank Vickie and David Kittle for their special caretaking of our father. Friends will be received from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Schoonover Stemple Funeral Chapel, 609 Crim Ave. Belington, Friday, December 18, 2009 and again on Saturday, December 19, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. when funeral services will held. The Rev. Doyle Neil Ryder and Pastor Ron Jones will officiate and interment will follow in the Concord Cemetery where full military rights will be honored by the Philippi and Belington American Legion Posts.
