William “Bill” Edmond Parks, 83, a resident of Elkins, passed from this life Thursday, October 1, 2015 at the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center in Clarksburg.

William was born Tuesday, February 2, 1932 in Elkins, a son of the late Robert Parks and Hazel Bell Parks.

Left to cherish his memory are three children, William Joey Parks of Elkins, Kevin Charles Parks of Beckley and Irvin D. Parks of Elkins, one sister, Harriett Bennett of TN, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Preceding Bill in death besides his parents were two sisters and one brother. Bill attended the schools of Randolph County and proudly served in the U.S. Army.

When he came home from the service, he had been employed as a lumber grader for the Wilson Lumber Co. Bill enjoyed fishing and camping with the family.

A visitation will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home Tuesday, October 6, 2015 from 11:00A-1:00P, the funeral hour.

Interment will follow in Mountain State Memorial Gardens in Gilman where members of the H.W. Daniels Post #29, American Legion, Tygarts Valley Post #3647, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the WV Honor Guard will conduct full military honors.
